Sewing caribou boots

Sewing caribou boots.

Evidence
Warm footwear was very important to survival in the Arctic climate. Caribou kamiit (boots) and sealskin kamiit served in different temperatures. In the winter caribou kamiit with an inner caribou sock was preferred. The boot would have double soles of caribou skin for cushioning and warmth. Often sealskin boots were worn with short out booties made from the double soled caribou.
