Perspective
The detachable harpoon is a great invention of Inuit that has survived thousands of years. It is an example of the kind of technology other cultural groups were interested in copying.

Significance
The harpoon head (sakku) had several different designs depending on what was being hunted. These smaller sakkus would have been used to seals and belugas or narwhals.
